2nd European Workshop on Breaking PrEP Barriers
Since its implementation in Europe, access to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) has been marked by numerous challenges, particularly affecting the most vulnerable populations. Waiting lists, administrative barriers, lack of information, and the absence of inclusive care models have limited its real availability — especially for migrants, trans people, and individuals living in contexts of heightened exposure and vulnerability.
In this second edition, the conference brought together experts, activists, and professionals from across Europe to collectively examine the barriers that continue to hinder PrEP access and to propose concrete solutions to overcome them. Throughout the session, participants shared experiences from diverse contexts, highlighted inequalities in implementation, and explored how healthcare units and services can adapt to ensure equitable and effective access to this essential HIV prevention tool.
We invite you to watch the full workshop recording and discover the discussions, insights, and proposals that emerged during the event.
